Module 4 (Spelling) Discover the ways in which spelling skills develop and how children with spelling difficulties can be supported to make progress.

This half day course is Module 4 of the LNST Training - Spelling
Attendance at this training is essential if you plan to attend the Writing Intervention Training


Other modules available:

Module 1: Oracy (1 x 1/2 day)
Module 2: Phonological Awareness & Phonics (2 x 1/2 day)
Module 3: Reading & Running Records (2 x 1/2 day)
Module 5: Writing (1 x 1/2 day)

Reading Intervention Training (1 x 1/2 day following completion of Modules 1, 2 & 3 or equivalent)
Writing Intervention Training (1 x 1/2 day following completion of Modules 1, 4 & 5 or equivalent)

This half day course for Teaching Assistants explores the ways in which children develop spelling skills and considers how children with spelling difficulties can be supported to make progress.

Outcomes

Staff will:
>be aware of the ways in which spelling skills develop
>understand some difficulties associated with spelling
>be equipped with strategies to enable pupils with spelling difficulties to make progress.
